At home summer program

To keep everyone from going stir crazy at the house during summer vacation, I put together a weekly plan of activities.  I'm really glad I did, it was a lot of fun this morning and took up the perfect amount of time before lunch!

Our plan for today was to make windsocks and fly them outside.  It may be cold but it was definitely windy enough!  We didn't get much time outside because it started to sprinkle and it looked like it might get worse so we headed back inside.

I cut tissue paper into large squares, let them color all over one side, glued a thick white paper strip to the top, glued it in a circle, cut long slits and attached it to a dowel with yarn.  They had a lot of fun with it and definitely got a kick out of running around waving them in the air :)  Hope the rest of the week is just as fun!
