Pup update and running
After a few hours at the vet yesterday Ein was allowed to come home and their theory is that he has a gas bubble. The X-rays and blood work didn't come back with any concerns. He was sent home with medicine and anti-vomit food and with the warning that since he was still coming off sedation to make sure he didn't fall down any stairs and cautioning he would be out of it for some time. I felt bad for the guy because he didn't have the complete cognition to even jump into the car and looked a little lost on what to do. Once home he was eager to chase the kitties but only a few steps and he was too stubborn to just lay down and nap. Luckily by evening and after two small meals he seemed clear of any after effects of the sedative and bounded about happily barking at cats, begging to play fetch and hopping onto the couch for some snuggles. We're on day 2 and he hasn't barfed and I'm hoping that I will continue to have good things to report to the vet tomorrow when I call to check in.
This morning I hit the Y and did 3.5 miles on the treadmill. It went about as well as it always does although I did walk a little bit more in the middle for a quarter mile and then for the complete last half mile as a cool down. I found myself at one point just totally in the zone and staring at the wall and just going. It was kind of nice to just be so in the moment. What sucks is when you are distracted and keep almost falling off the treadmill because your body is no longer in sync. :D
My playlist today had....
"Bodies" by Drowning Pool
"Roll Away the Stone" by Mumford and Sons
"Fergalicious" by Fergie
"Let's Get Retarded" by the Black Eyed Peas
"Charioteers" by Social Studies
"Got your money" by ODB
"Faith" by Limp Bizkit
"Rehab" by Amy Winehouse
....and I can't remember the last few songs. Not a bad mix for running today!
